I remember when bitcoin was $4. I studied about it and I did think it was a good idea but back then it seemed more of a dream. Today, I have the right reason to beat myself with sticks. Why did I not buy it?! For those who bought and kept until today. I honor your integrity and diligence of your belief. You are worthy to be a millionaire if not a billionaire.
I remember when ripple was not even 1 cent. Even on the March of 2017, the ripple was merely 1/2 cent. I knew about ripple back in 4 years ago when it first came out to exchange. I avoided it since it wasn’t part of mining coin and it didn’t seem “legit”. However, if I purchased it back in the day only with $100 invested, I would have become a millionaire by now. But I didn’t even bother to know what ripple is. My second right reason to beat myself with sticks.
However, earlier last December, something triggered and jumped on ripple. I didn’t feel that I was going to gain something out of it anytime soon. I just felt that bitcoin was too expensive to buy and I didn’t feel like losing more opportunity in the industry of cryptocurrency. Since then, I began to see the potential of ripple. Ripple does defy the existence of cryptocurrency: decentralization. However, I foresee an agenda by the bankers where ripple will overvalue the bitcoin. Many will disagree. To a certain degree, I wish I am wrong, yet, I feel that if I am betting on bitcoin, I feel like I am going against bankers. I have some experience of betting against bankers and I learned that I can’t win. First, I did gain and I gained quite good for some time. Not only the gain gave the satisfaction but winning over bankers’ bet was something else. Well, after some time, loss took only a few days until all crashed and burned ended up losing more than I gained. It was too short to act and I had to take the loss.
I personally think that bankers will win again. I don’t think the value of bitcoin will crash anytime soon. Some believe that it would worth over $100,000/BTC. I see why not and it is very possible. Yet, bankers will not just sit there and let the freedom to exist everywhere. There will be a time when all currency will be digital and we already are partially in it. But when that happens, The central bank will still exist and they are the one who will issue digital currency. I don’t think it’s going to be the ripple but I think that the base technology and the ideology would be from the ripple.
So, I am betting against bitcoin. >=]
